Don’t Forget to Vote Tomorrow June 12
As many of you are aware, June 12 is the date of our GOP primary election in the City of Alexandria and the Alexandria portion of Fairfax County. Polling stations are open from 6:00 am to 7:00 pm tomorrow across our jurisdiction.
Because the Alexandria Republican City Committee (ARCC) has chosen our Alexandria City Council candidates by party canvas (Kevin Dunne & Michael Clinkscale), our U.S. House of Representatives District 8 candidate was chosen by district convention (Thomas Oh), and Fairfax County separates their local and federal elections, the U.S. Senate primary is the only race on our ballot.
In accordance with our by-laws, AAYR does not endorse candidates for office prior to a primary election. Therefore, below you will find a link to each candidate on the ballot as well as links to the Alexandria City and Fairfax County election office websites. This will help you form an opinion on each candidate and answer any questions you may have about your polling place or voter ID requirements.
