Rebecca Downs-Goldberg is intending to run as Vice-Chair of the Alexandria Young Republicans, alongside James Morrone, Jr., who is running for Chair of the Alexandria Young Republicans.”

Cole Daubney for Treasurer

“Cole Daubney hails from the small town of Wilson, NY several miles away from the city of Buffalo, NY. He obtained his Associates degree from Niagara County Community College moving on to the University At Buffalo to complete his Bachelor’s degree in Political Science with a focus in International Affairs. He has previously worked at the non-profit The Eurasia Center where he wrote two op-eds with offices of the center. Currently serving as the Social Media Manager for the Eurasia Center. While living in New York he worked a variety of jobs from Cash Room Supervisor to Mailman. He is published in US-China Review and the Middle East Institute. He currently works as a contractor in Washington D.C. serving as a member of the Alexandria Young Republicans and the D.C. Young Republicans. Some of my hobbies include fishing, camping, video games, and I have a deep love for history and architecture and living here is perfect for both.

My name is Cole Daubney and I am running for Treasurer of the Alexandria Young Republicans. I have a great passion for my adopted city and could not fathom why folks would want to live anywhere else. I have lived in the area for about two years, working in Washington D.C. and spending as much time as I can in the Alexandria when not working. I have significant experience in accounting and financial roles having spent several years in High School and Community College in classes on everything from accounting to advertising. My work experience in this subject was my time as a Cash Room employee at Niagara Falls State park where I was responsible for the accounting and distribution of assets across the park; additionally working to book balance and send deposits on a daily basis. On a personal level I am quite meticulous about finances and rather no nonsense about my own. I know I will be the right candidate for the position and I look forward to providing my energy into the Alexandria Young Republicans in the duties assigned to me.
