Happy Independence Day 2019!

Here we are another year on to celebrate the birthday of the United States of America. 243 years since July 4, 1776. This year we should recall that a Virginian, Thomas Jefferson, was one of the authors of our birthday declaration. He went on to help write the Virginia Constitution, to found the University of Virginia, and of course he was the third President of the United States. Mr. Jefferson’s view of limited government continues to inform our political decision making to this very day.

Later this year we as Virginians will go to our polling locations to cast our votes for candidates to the Virginia General Assembly. From 1776-1781 Mr. Jefferson and others debated, fought, and some died to allow Virginians to determine their own futures. At this present time for our Commonwealth and for the United States we owe it to Mr. Jefferson and others to vote for candidates that will stand for the rule of law, for our rights and freedoms, and for a government that protects our rights and freedoms rather than a government that dictates our rights and freedoms to us. We have seen what the executive leadership of our Commonwealth has become and it is our responsibility to vote to put our Commonwealth back on the right track by sending our candidates to the General Assembly as voices for a better government.

Thank you all for your support and dedication to AAYR. With your help we will improve the lives of all Virginians and the citizens of the United States as well. Have a wonderful Independence Day and we’ll see you later in the month.

Sincerely,

Andrew, Colton, Ed, and Jerri Ann
